Multitalented Jeff Obafemi Carr calls himself a “Media Scientist,” an apt term for someone who, in the past, published his own newspaper, hosted his own radio talk show, created a solid Broadway acting career, starring in a feature film, writing seven plays and one book, and helping found Nashville’s Amun Ra Theatre. He now appears on NPR’s News and Notes with Ed Gordon, co-hosts the Nashville talk show Freestyle, and acts around the country. He writes his name in lowercase letters to stay humble, but his looks and accomplishments indicate he should be anything but.
