Lehigh University, located in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, is a co-ed research university that offers majors and programs in a wide variety of fields. It is considered to be one of the premier universities in the US and is in fact ranked by the US News and World Report in their recently released 2011 “Guide to America’s Best Colleges” to be 37th in the nation. It ranks 29th in terms of value for money.
Lehigh University’s Office of Distance Education offers Master’s and certificate programs. Students can choose to take the courses in satellite locations/campuses or enroll in online courses. Almost all programs available as an on-campus program is available as an online program as well.
Lehigh is a very selective institution and as such requires applicants to submit the following basic admission requirements:
– Data sheet
– Transcripts
– 2 Letters of recommendation
– Resume – for Business program applicants
– Test scores
– Proof of language proficiency – international students whose native language is not English
Tuition for all distance education courses, except business courses is listed at $695 per credit hour plus an additional $100 access fee for each online courses. Tuition for business courses is at $840 per credit plus the same access fee per online course.
Financial aid is available to graduate students of Lehigh in the form of Federal aid, specifically loans. Private loans and scholarships can also be used to offset the cost of education.
Lehigh University is regionally accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education.
