Western Career College (WCC) was founded in 1967 with the purpose of providing high quality health care, legal and technical training and education to the local residents of Sacrament, California. The school has recently changed its name to Carrington College California and is now operated by Carrington Colleges Group, a subsidiary of DeVry Incorporated. Carrington College (or Western Career College) offers courses in the fields of Medical Assisting and Pharmacy Tech, Criminal Justice, Graphics Design, Nursing and Dental Hygiene through its nine satellite campuses and through online learning.
Through WCC / Carrington College California’s online arm, students are able to complete their Associate of Science Degrees online. The online AS degrees are in the areas of Accounting, Business, Criminal Justice, General Studies, Graphic Design, Healthcare Administration, Health Information Technology, and Sales and Marketing. Students are also able to complete their online Associate Degrees faster through WCC / Carrington College’s Expedited Class Schedule. Online tuition fees vary however, there are several financial aid options in place to make the cost of completing an online AS degree more affordable.
