The International Academy of Design and Technology is a for-profit educational institution that was established to provide students with skills necessary to pursue a career in design and technology. Students can take classes at any of the academy’s eleven campuses dotted all across the United States and Canada. Alternatively, degrees in the fields of Graphic Design, Web Design and Development, Fashion Merchandising, Advertising Design, Game Production, Digital Media Production, Building Information Modeling, Internet Marketing, and Information Technology can be earned via distance learning through the Academy’s online program.
To apply for admission to any of the Academy’s online courses, applicants must first complete a personal interview with an Admissions representative, who will then guide the applicant through the application process. International students have the same requirements as those based in the United States, however the may be be required to take the TOEFL or IELTS exam to prove fluency in the English language. Tuition fees for online courses is pegged at $350.00 per credit hour: roughly $3,500.00 for a 92 credit course or $6,500.000 for programs that have 190 credits. This amount includes books, software and supplies. Financial aid, in the form of grants, loans, and scholarships are available to eligible students. The Academy’s online branch is authorized by the Tennessee Higher Education Commission to operate as a post-secondary education institution. It is licensed by the Commission for Independent Education in Florida. The Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools has accredited the Academy to award associate and bachelor’s degrees.
